Karnia Harris
@karniaharrismusicx / spotify.com
Hi, I’m Karnia, also known as Karnage! I am a singer/songwriter from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and I specialise in rock music. I have always been a ‘metalhead’ and have influences throughout a range of genres within rock. My influences consist of female-fronted bands such as Halestorm, Evanescence and Skunk Anansie, to name a few.
I have been singing and performing since a very young age and have had many opportunities come my way over the years, like performing to Skin, vocalist of Skunk Anansie.I am currently writing my first solo EP and will be releasing it late 2021! The EP will include some of my previously released singles, ‘Stay Inside’ and ‘Danger to Yourself, both released in 2020 on all streaming platforms.
‘Heart of Stone’ is an emotional, heartfelt song written about the stress and confusion a relationship can leave you in. When writing the lyrics, I wanted the song to be relatable and connect with many that hear it. When shooting the music video, I made sure to put my all in the song, so the emotions were presented in my performance and the use of the black and white filter made it all the more powerful.
