We are excited to announce the installation of the Focusrite RedNet Dante system across our recording studios, providing our BA (Hons) Music Production students with access to world-leading digital audio technology.

Focusrite RedNet Dante is a cutting-edge system which allows seamless recording to and from any of the studio rooms, giving students the full flexibility to manage complex recording sessions and collaborative projects with ease.

The Dante RedNet system streamlines the facilities’ audio-routing workflow, enabling students to record and focus on their creativity. With instant, high-quality audio routing between rooms and devices, this system is designed to enhance both individual and group projects, offering an unparalleled learning and production experience.

“By incorporating the latest in audio-over-IP technology, we ensure that our students are working with the tools used by professionals in the industry, preparing them for the demands of modern music production.”

Chris Lawson-Quick, BA (Hons) Music Production Course Leader

A new secondary studio space features Neumann monitors, a 32 channel Focusrite RedLine16 Interface connected to a remote-controlled pre-amp, the Focusrite MP8R, and a dedicated analog mastering chain built into a 500 Series Lunchbox. These feature paired API EQ's and compressors, SSL preamps and an Elysium Saturator.

The studio will give students a dedicated second recording and production space, allowing them to record a full-band setup in a connected live room, tied with live video connections. The studio will be kitted out with analog synthesisers, electronic drum kit and a host of other instruments and sound processing equipment, creating a comfortable and versatile recording, production and mastering space.
