Second year BMus (Hons) Popular Music Performance students have curated and performed in a showcase at renowned Leeds venue, Belgrave Music Hall.
Students were responsible for all aspects of the showcase, from proposing repertoire to developing and rehearsing their performances. They took responsibility for stage management on the night of the gig, managing the changeover of artists. They also let a successful marketing campaign, selling tickets to reach the venue capacity.
The videos of the performance have been recorded and edited by BA (Hons) Filmmaking students, lead by final year Molly Cowell, with event photography by BA (Hons) Photography students Kurt Lee and Evie Elliot.
“I was really impressed with the manner in which the students worked together, each making important contributions to ensure a well-run, high-quality show which was enjoyed by all. The students all demonstrated professionalism and confidence throughout.”
