Funded by York and North Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership, the Department for Education, and Skills for Life, the bootcamp is designed to help participants to secure jobs in the industry, support business start-up, or improve their skills as a freelancer.

The bootcamp will be delivered both online and in person from 20 November 2023 – 31 March 2024 and will include mentoring and support from tutors experienced in all aspects of the games industry.

"As a 2D and 3D illustrator and game artist I've always wanted to have my mittens in the making of compelling, captivating video games. That's why the opportunity to learn industry skills from passionate professionals on the Graduate Work Ready Bootcamp is much appreciated. The games industry is a wacky and wonderful place, however quite difficult to get your foot in the door, and so this programme will help push me in the right direction, full of action and adventure!"
