Final year BA (Hons) Fashion Photography student Phoebe Jacob was announced as the winner of the Fashion Photography Award at Graduate Fashion Week 2025.
The Fashion Photography prize is awarded as part of Graduate Fashion Week. Students were asked to submit at least five full editorial shots completed anytime during their final year of university. The images were judged on technical excellence, creativity and imagination, personal vision and concept, story and theme and quality of finish and presentation.
Phoebe’s final major project, ‘And Blue’, explores the experience, design, and abstraction of childhood through a series of conceptual fashion editorials. The project investigates how childhood imagination, naivety, and design elements can be reinterpreted through an adult gaze, using light, shadow, and colour as compositional tools. The aim is to bridge the gap between nostalgic memory and refined visual storytelling. Working on the project, Phoebe collaborated with BA (Hons) Fashion Design students Florence Tuppen, Ella Ranasinghe and Krishan Moss.
