Daisy graduated in 2009 with a First Class degree BA (Hons) Graphic Design.
After leaving Leeds Arts University, Daisy started work at Elmwood, Leeds, which took her on after she had undertaken a couple placements with them whilst studying.
She then went on to work for Creative Interpartners, London, a through-the-line graphic design and advertising agency, which works on a wide range of projects from corporate banking literature and adult education branding to retail and fashion PR image creation.
Daisy then joined Selfridges in-house graphics team, working on the store's seasonal campaigns and departmental branding. She is currently a designer at Dalziel & Pow, a leading international retail design consultancy.
In her spare time Daisy draws and designs prints and t-shirts, some of which have gone on to be stocked in various shops, including one design which was sold at Selfridges (and actually helped her clinch the job there!). She has also collaborated with fellow alumni of Leeds Arts University Si Scott, and this work is now available via Topman's online store.
Daisy’s work is mainly focused on design for brands, analysing the brand, market, their environment and working with other design specialisms such as interiors and digital in order to develop and visualise an appropriate brand identity. We asked Daisy what she enjoyed about her time at Leeds Arts University and how the course helped her in starting out professionally, she told us:
“I loved the course, the people, the facilities and of course the work. The professional practice module to the course was particularly useful and having the opportunity (and nudges) to get in touch with studios and agencies for placements was invaluable and for me resulted in immediate work after graduation.”
