I'm Dom, a full-time Senior Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Graphic Design course, predominantly teaching on the second year of the course. I hold a BA Honours Degree in Graphic Design and an MA in Graphic Design and Art Direction, with a focus on design for print and developing platforms for communication.
My practice-led research celebrates multidisciplinary collaboration, exploring the relationship between the physicality of the book, the reader and the book as a collaborative space. My design process includes building close creative partnerships between myself and guest collaborators to construct multifaceted and immersive reader experiences. Alongside teaching at Leeds Arts University, I predominantly design photographic books, working alongside publishers and photographers. My work has been shown in various exhibitions, published books and panel discussions, including the Printing Plant Artist Book Fair, Amsterdam, discussing “The Anatomy and Physicality of the Book”.
