Leeds Arts University are pleased to announce that we are now an Education Partner of Game Republic, the largest industry-led games business network in the North of England.

Leeds is a fantastic place to study a games degree. The North of England is the fastest growing region in the UK for games, and is only a relatively short train ride away from London. Students have easy access to both regions for local and regional conferences and festivals.

We now offer two undergraduate courses: BA (Hons) Games Art and BA (Hons) Games Design. As a specialist arts university, our students are able to take an auteur-driven approach to game development, supported by industry standard resources and expertise. As Game Republic partners, our University also benefits from their support, contacts, and innovation.

“Being a part of Game Republic is significant for us because this organization plays a pivotal role in our region, offering industry talks and invaluable networking opportunities. Among their many contributions, the 'GaMaYo' (Game Makers Yorkshire) Meetup stands out as an enormously valuable event to have on our doorstep. Thanks to Game Republic, our students can more easily forge connections within the industry and the growing Yorkshire tech sector.”

Alec Chalmers, Course Leader BA (Hons) Games Art and BA (Hons) Games Design
