BA (Hons) Fashion Design and BA (Hons) Fashion Photography students are showcasing their work at Graduate Fashion Week 2023. The students are already making waves with invitations to participate in showcases, award nominations and meetings with industry.

Graduate Fashion Week (GFW) is an annual showcase of students graduating from 26 different fashion disciplines. Held every June, GFW attracts thousands of guests with a packed schedule of catwalk shows, university exhibitions, talks, masterclasses and workshops from leading names in the fashion and retail industry. It represents the future of creative design talent and showcases the work of over 3500 of the very best fashion graduates each year.

BA (Hons) Fashion Design students Harriett Hooper, Amy Matthews, Kamaal Barwany, Ruslan Zinchenko will show work from their collections on the catwalk as part of the Graduate Fashion Week Collective show on 10.30am Thursday 15 June to a live audience and via live stream, available to watch here.

Other students have also been shortlisted for awards:

  • BA (Hons) Fashion Design student Amy Matthews shortlisted for the global fashion Illustration award and selected for the Vivienne Westwood Foundation showcase at Graduate Fashion Week 2023.

  • BA (Hons) Fashion Design student Harriett Hooper shortlisted for the Graduate Fashion Week Fashion Accessories award.

  • BA (Hons) Fashion Photography students Harrison Grant and Isabelle Rutland shortlisted for the Fashion Photography award.

  • BA (Hons) Fashion Photography student Masie Shelbourne shortlisted for the Fashion Innovation award.

  • BA (Hons) Fashion Design student Mungo Milne has also been selected as one of 20 UK fashion graduates to be showcased in the SIZE? HOMEGROWN catwalk taking place on Tuesday 13 June.

Other students have been selected to attend an industry portfolio day on Thursday 15 June with brands including ASOS, Inditex, Next & Pinko.
