WorkWise for Screen has worked with the University to commission Erin Nicholson, BA (Hons) Textile Design graduate to create digital images for use on its platform and in print.
WorkWise for Screen is a £1.5m pilot programme created with support from the BFI awarding National Lottery funding that provides screen businesses with practical resources and guidance to support equity, inclusion, dignity and respect in the workplace.
The organisation worked with our Careers, Enterprise and Employability team to commission one student to create 13 digital images, 12 of which illustrate 12 pieces of advice that promote positive ways of working. This has been produced as a pack of postcards to be distributed across the screen sector. The 13th design has been used to create an exclusive bonus postcard for VIPs.
The brief asked Erin to follow WorkWise for Screen's brand guidelines, carefully considering her use of colour to make the images visually appealing. She was also asked to make the advice feel humorous and light while making sure that the that illustrations are appropriate to be used in corporate settings.
