Textile Design graduate wins two Tex+ awards
BA (Hons) Textile Design
BA (Hons) Textile Design graduate Roisin Foster won two awards at the Tex+ 2026 showcase.
TEX+ is a charitable organisation, bringing together the next generation of textile practitioners with experienced members of the industry. Their annual exhibition provides opportunities for textile graduates from UK universities as they embark on their professional careers.
Roisin Foster won the Juliet Vogel Colour Prize of a ÂŁ1000 prize, and the Pattern Cloud Support Award, which offers one year's complimentary access to The Pattern Cloud Plan.
“Being selected as a Tex+ finalist was an incredibly valuable achievement and opportunity for me as it enabled me to present my portfolio on a bigger scale than I had before to a wide range of industry professionals. It was a wonderful experience to meet the other talented finalists and share our creative ideas and passions.”
Roisin continued, “I received inspiring feedback and insights from industry experts and I am extremely honoured to have won the Juliet Vogel Colour Prize and The Pattern Cloud Support award.  I show immense gratitude to the Tex+ team trustees for their support and mentorship that has greatly boosted my confidence and I am privileged to be a part of the Tex+ alumni community.”

Roisin’s submission, A Tale of Two Gardens, is a research-driven project that explores the therapeutic qualities of gardens and how these may be translated into surface pattern design to enhance restful and joyous wellness in the home. TEX+ 2026 Showcase took place from 15 to 16 July at the Triangle Building, Chelsea College of Arts, London.
