Textile Design graduate selected for TEX+ exhibition

BA (Hons) Textile Design

Recent BA (Hons) Textile Design graduate Roisin Foster has been chosen to exhibit their work at the TEX+ 2026 Showcase.

TEX+ is a charitable organisation, bringing together the next generation of textile practitioners with experienced members of the industry. Graduating students from UK universities and colleges are invited to submit their portfolios, which are then shortlisted by industry professionals.  Their annual exhibition provides opportunities for textile graduates from UK universities as they embark on their professional careers.

Students shortlisted for TEX+ 2026 were invited to present their work to a panel of industry judges. Three BA (Hons) Textile Design graduating students were shortlisted for this year's showcase: Joe Gurr, Grace Cook, and Rosin Foster. Roisin was then chosen to exhibit at TEX+ 2026.

Roisin’s submission, 'A Tale of Two Gardens', is a research-driven project that explores the therapeutic qualities of gardens and how these may be translated into surface pattern design to enhance restful and joyous wellness in the home.

Taking observational studies and transforming them into hand-painted, stylised compositions, Roisin presents a visual translation of the rich textures of a garden through mark-making and a purposeful use of a variety of surface finishes.

“Being shortlisted has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me as it was one of the first times I had the opportunity to share and discuss my work with industry professionals and receive inspiring useful insights. It had been a highly motivational experience.”
