Final year Creative Advertising (now BA (Hons) Marketing Communications) students Lucy Henning and Lucy Gibbons have won a Silver Breakthrough Award at the DMA Awards 2023.

The DMA Breakthrough Award gives aspiring creatives the opportunity to work on a brief for a well-known brand and get their ideas in front of senior marketers. DMA Talent is a part of the Data and Marketing Association (DMA), championing rising stars and providing pathways for the next generation of talent.

This years’ brief was set by Barclaycard. Lucy and Lucy’s response was ‘Learning your Limit', promoting the idea that whilst in life we often have to learn our limits the hard way, Barclaycard can help you understand spending limits in a safer environment.

They were invited to attend the prestigious DMA Awards in central London on Tuesday 5 December and received a £750 prize, alongside the prestige of winning an industry recognised award.

"We are so excited to have come second, it was an incredible opportunity and amazing to meet so many wonderful industry professionals, we had a great time!"
