Third year Creative Advertising (now BA (Hons) Marketing Communications) students Lucy Henning and Lucy Gibbons are finalists in the DMA Breakthrough Awards.
The DMA Breakthrough Award gives aspiring creatives the opportunity to work on a creative brief for a well-known brand and get their ideas in front of senior marketers. This years’ brief was set by Barclaycard.
Megan Dovey and Annabel Stephenson also reached the regional heat, held in Manchester on Friday 10 November where students Lucy Henning and Lucy Gibbons were selected as finalists. They will now attend the prestigious DMA Awards in central London on Tuesday 5 December, with the opportunity to pitch to Barclaycard at the final heat held in London that morning. All finalists will have their travel and overnight accommodation in London paid for.
Gold, Silver and Bronze winners of the Breakthrough Award will be announced at the ceremony, with the Gold winners being presented their certificates on stage. As well as the prestige of winning an industry recognised award, the Gold winners receive £1,000, Silver £750 and Bronze £500.
