BA (Hons) Illustration graduate and previous Funded Studio Space resident, Khloe Baker, and BA (Hons) Fashion Photography graduate and current Creative in Resident, Maisie Shelbourne, have won the inaugural BLANK_Award 2024 during the Sunny Bank Mills Ones to Watch exhibition.

Sunny Bank Mills has teamed up with Leeds City College to present a new award as part of their annual Ones to Watch exhibition. The BLANK_ Award 2024 gives three emerging artists, currently exhibiting in Ones to Watch 2024, a group show at BLANK_ Gallery in 2025.

BLANK_ is a gallery and accompanying publication showcasing new, contemporary creative practice in Leeds. BLANK_ gallery provides a platform for creatives to exhibit new work and the publication invites artists to respond to the work in the gallery. This year’s three winners Khloe Baker, Maisie Shelbourne, and Rhubarbs will all exhibit there next year.

"I’m so thrilled to receive the BLANK_ award and am excited to exhibit more work with the very talented Maisie and Rhubarbs next year."

The Ones to Watch exhibition closes soon on Sunday 21 April. This week is the last chance to see the work of the three award winners plus other exhibiting artists. There are 40 artists in total, all of whom are either studying in or are from Yorkshire.
