BA (Hons) Creative Advertising (now BA (Hons) Marketing Communications) graduates Maia Johnston and Tate Lampi scooped up four prizes at this year’s Creative Circle Awards for their ‘Proof of McDelivery’ campaign.
The annual Creative Circle Awards champion the best talent in marketing communications, with awards selected by a panel of over 600 judges working in the UK’s creative industries. Maia and Tate took home two gold and two bronze awards at the awards ceremony, held in Margate as part of the UK Creative Festival:
Gold winner: Outdoor - Tactical Poster advert (campaign)
Gold winner: Press - Tactical Press advert (single)
Bronze winner: Craft - Photography (campaign)
Bronze winner: Outdoor - Digital Poster advert (campaign)
‘Proof of McDelivery’ found Maia and Tate drawing inspiration from “that fragile hungover state the whole country feels, when you shuffle outside to collect your McDonald's breakfast delivery, especially on New Year's Day”, and uses proof of delivery photos to capture something “raw, real, wonky, imperfect, just like a hangover.”

The duo worked on the campaign from the initial brief through to delivering the final billboard campaign, working alongside Leo UK, McDonald's UK and Publicis Production to cast talent, select the photographer and refine tiny details.
