Graduate works on music video for The Rolling Stones

BA (Hons) Marketing Communications

Ellie Evans, BA (Hons) Creative Advertising (now BA (Hons) Marketing Communications) graduate, secured a role as First Wardrobe Assistant for ‘In the Stars’, the latest music video from The Rolling Stones' upcoming album ‘Foreign Tongues’.

Ellie, working alongside creative team The Lipops, was involved across the duration of the shoot. Starting with prepping and mood-boarding, Ellie then assisted with sourcing a wide range of period-accurate costumes referencing The Rolling Stones’ own history and legacy, with styles ranging from 1960’s go-go girls to Kurt Cobain.

The video, directed by Francois Rousselet and starring actor Odessa A’zion, was filmed over two days at Battersea Arts Centre. On the shoot, Ellie formed part of a 6-person team tasked with dressing and styling a cast of 150 musicians and extras, matching the style of the cast members to the designs on their mood boards over the course of 6 hours prior to filming.

Ellie’s work on ‘In the Stars’ comes after her work as a trainee on British romantic-comedy film ‘Finding Emily’, her first venture into the world of costume.

“I’ve been on so many sets but this one was magical. There are people out there who are really passionate about making beautiful art, bringing all those people together… the energy in that space was amazing!”
