Fashion Design students selected for Graduate Fashion Week photoshoot

BA (Hons) Fashion Design

BA (Hons) Fashion Design students Eli Heijink and Emma Deakin were selected for the Talent of Tomorrow photoshoot as part of Graduate Fashion Week 2024.

The annual GFW24 Talent of Tomorrow photoshoot took place in London in April. The event showcases emerging talent in the fashion industry, providing a platform for young designers to display their creativity and skills.

Eli and Emma's were two of the 61 final-year student designs chosen from 26 UK member universities, selected by stylist and global ambassador Bemi Shaw to be showcased.

Over the two days, Eli and Emma along with 30 other final-year fashion design students collaborated in various roles to ensure the success of the shoot. Working as photographers, art/creative directors, stylists, BTS photographers, videographers, and social media content creators, they brought a diverse range of skills and perspectives to the project.

“My outfit was put forward by my tutors and chosen by GFW to take part in the Graduate Fashion Week Talent of Tomorrow photoshoot, which I was really excited about. It was an amazing opportunity to see my work being used in such a collaborative environment, where so many other creatives have been able to come together to showcase their talents.“

"I had made my press outfit and posted it off to London for the stylists and photographers working on the photoshoot. It was amazing seeing the images and seeing how other people styled the outfit. It felt amazing to see my work promoted on the GFW social platforms."
