Entry Requirements

Portfolio

A strong portfolio/audition is required for all courses.

Foundation Diploma in Art and Design

Successful completion of the High School (HSC) or West African Senior School Certificate, with 5 passes at C6 or above.


Plus IELTS for UKVI with an overall minimum score of 5.0 and no less than 4.5 in any component. 

Undergraduate Degrees

Students completing the West African Senior School Certificate in Nigeria will need to take an additional course before applying for an undergraduate degree at Leeds Arts University.


This will usually be achieved by completing a recognised foundation course, such as our Foundation Diploma in Art & Design, or other comparable qualification.

Students who have completed the Higher National Diploma will be considered for entry onto our undergraduate courses.


Plus IELTS with an overall minimum of 5.5 and no less than 5.5 in any component. 

Postgraduate Degrees

Successful completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognised institution, normally in a relevant subject or a relevant professional qualification at an equivalent level, supported by a portfolio of work.


Candidates holding other academic qualifications will also be considered for admission provided they have substantial relevant professional experience and a portfolio of work.


For MA Creative Practice please include a proposal with your application outlining the area of practice you wish to develop, what you hope to achieve, a bibliography of books and resources you intend to use and the facilities and support you believe you will need.
