How to apply for our Further Education courses

How to apply

Please apply direct to the University for our Further Education courses using the links at the bottom of this page.

When completing your application please include as much information as possible. This should include your GCSEs and any level 3 qualifications (A-levels etc) that you have taken or are currently undertaking. We recommend using your personal email address and not your school email address so that we can still contact you during term breaks.

If you are under 25 and have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) in place, you or your Local Authority should inform the University of this before the point of application. This will allow us to assess your needs promptly, and make a formal decision as to whether we can support your studies with us.

If we only receive your EHCP after an offer of a place on a course has been made or accepted, or after you have enrolled, then we will make all reasonable endeavours to assess your EHCP and secure the special educational provisions required as per your specific needs. In some limited circumstances, for example where it would be unsuitable for your age or level, or where we have assessed that we will not be able to efficiently assign the resources that you require, the University may not be able to support your needs or specific requirements and this may have consequences on your application, offer or enrolment status. If you have any questions or concerns about this process, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Admissions team who will be able to advise.

What happens after you apply?

Once we receive your application form, we will check that you meet or have the potential to meet our entry requirements. If so, you will be invited to submit a maximum of six examples of work via your applicant portal (they must not exceed a total file size of 30MB). You will have ten calendar days to submit your images. See further information on our Further Education Entry Requirements page for course specific guidance.
