Entry requirements

Portfolio

A strong portfolio/audition is required for all courses.

Foundation Diploma in Art and Design

Successful completion of the ‘Certificate of Completed Secondary Education’ (Attestat o srednem obrazovami / Svidetel'stvo o srednem obrazovanii).


Plus IELTS for UKVI with an overall minimum score of 5.0 and no less than 4.5 in any component. 

Undergraduate Degrees

Students completing the Certificate of Completed Secondary Education in Kazakhstan will need to take an additional course before applying for an undergraduate degree at Leeds Arts University.


This will usually be achieved by completing a recognised foundation course, such as our Foundation Diploma in Art & Design, or other comparable qualification.

 

Students with a minimum of one year of a Bachelor´s degree (Bakalavr) OR Specialist diploma studied at a recognised university Kazakhstan, achieving an average grade of at least 3.5 can apply for year 1 entry to an undergraduate course at Leeds Arts University.


Plus IELTS with an overall minimum of 5.5 and no less than 5.5 in any component. 

Postgraduate Degrees

Successful completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognised institution, normally in a relevant subject or a relevant professional qualification at an equivalent level, supported by a portfolio of work.


Candidates holding other academic qualifications will also be considered for admission provided they have substantial relevant professional experience and a portfolio of work.


For MA Creative Practice please include a proposal with your application outlining the area of practice you wish to develop, what you hope to achieve, a bibliography of books and resources you intend to use and the facilities and support you believe you will need.


Plus IELTS with an overall minimum of 6.0 and no less than 5.5 in any component.
