A strong portfolio/audition is required for all courses.
Foundation Diploma in Art & Design
Successful completion of the Stúdentspróf (bóknámsbraut) with a minimum overall score of 5
Plus IELTS 5.0 with no component below 4.5, alternatively, you will have studied English language as part of the Stúdentspróf (bóknámsbraut).
Successful completion of the Stúdentspróf (bóknámsbraut) with good grades.
Plus IELTS 5.5 with no component below 5.5. Alternatively, a minimum grade of 6 in the English component of the Stúdentspróf (bóknámsbraut) is acceptable in lieu of IELTS.
A second class upper division honours degree or international equivalent; or a relevant professional qualification at an equivalent level, supported by a portfolio of work.
Candidates holding other academic qualifications will also be considered for admission provided they have substantial relevant professional experience and a portfolio of work.
For MA Creative Practice please include a proposal with your application outlining the area of practice you wish to develop, what you hope to achieve, a bibliography of books and resources you intend to use and the facilities and support you believe you will need.
Plus evidence of your English Language ability equivalent to IELTS 6.0 with no component below 5.5. Alternatively, a minimum grade of 6 in the English component of the Stúdentspróf (bóknámsbraut) is acceptable in lieu of IELTS.
