Visual Communication graduate wins Creative Conscience Award 2025

BA (Hons) Visual Communication

Creative Conscience is a creative community and global not-for-profit organisation who believe that creative thinking and innovation can make positive change. Their mission is to embed purpose-driven creative thinking into every institution, brand and organisation across the world. Their awards celebrate exciting projects that focus on social or environmental impact.

Evanthe’s winning submission began as a single poster but quickly grew into a series focused on disability awareness called ‘So, Where Am I?’

The aim of the project is to challenge and highlight the various barriers that disabled people face in today’s society. Each poster addresses a specific issue with a cover poster that ties the series together.

Designed to raise awareness, these posters combine impactful statistics with bold visuals to communicate the ongoing challenges of disability inclusion. Evanthe’s goal is to show that, while progress has been made in raising awareness around disabilities, there is still more work to be done.

"Being recognised by an organisation as inspiring as Creative Conscience makes this achievement more important and meaningful. I'm incredibly proud that my work has been acknowledged, especially as it addresses such an important issue within today’s society."

Evanthe Thirlwell, BA (Hons) Visual Communication graduate

In winning the award, Evanthe has been invited to join the Creative Conscience Community and has been offered blog posts, interviews, and Instagram take-over opportunities.
