Leeds Arts University sponsor Thought Bubble 2025

Students and alumni are taking part in Thought Bubble 2025, Yorkshire’s Comic Art Festival taking place from 10-16 November. Leeds Arts University are once again proud to sponsor the event.

Thought Bubble is a week-long celebration of comics, illustration and more taking which takes place in venues across Yorkshire, culminating in a two-day comic convention held at the Harrogate Convention Centre from 15-16 November.

Students and alumni from across undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses will be taking part in a range of events and exhibitions throughout the festival including:

Thought Bubble Comic Convention

15 – 16 November, Harrogate Convention Centre

Selected students and alumni from undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including BA (Hons) Comic and Concept Art and MA Comic Art with Graphic Novel will be exhibiting their work at Thought Bubble Comicon.

BA (Hons) Comic and Concept Art are exhibiting seventeen students' work across second and third year, along with sixteen alumni. A number of staff from the course will also be exhibiting.

Doctor Simpo presents Collaborative Comix Jam for Kids

Sunday 16 November, 12:00pm–4:00pm, Kids' Zone, Bubbleboy Hall, Harrogate Convention Centre

Ben Simpson, Senior Lecturer BA (Hons) Animation (aka Doctor Simpo) will be back in the Kids Zone running the third instalment of his collaborative Comix Jam, alongside alumni from MA Worldbuilding with Creature Design, BA (Hons) Animation and MA Animation and MA Illustration.
