Foundation Diploma in Art and Design students Maisie Whitmore and Wilf Sutton were selected to exhibit at this year’s Origins Creatives exhibition, which was held at Mall Galleries in London.
Origins Creatives is organised by UAL Awarding Body to provide a platform for emerging young creatives from across the UK and internationally, with exhibiting artists selected from over 600 submissions.
Maisie Whitmore studied on the Graphic Communication pathway on Foundation Diploma in Art & Design, and exhibited ‘The Loneliest Spectre Hound: How can we encourage future generations’ interest in moorland?’ The piece centres around sustainability and environmental awareness, and investigates how young people can be encouraged to take on this ethos in their own lives.
Wilf Sutton studied on the Fine Art pathway on Foundation Diploma in Art & Design, and exhibited their work ‘From Nothing to Nothing Is No Time at All, 2026’. Utilising a process combining digital and analogue means of image reproduction, the piece explores “aesthetics of digital space, connection, and representation in a world increasingly ruled by the intangible and unknowable”.
Origins Creatives 2026 took place at Mall Galleries in London from 15 - 18 July.
