Animation students win Audience Prize at Eat Our Shorts 2025

BA (Hons) Animation

A short film by final year BA (Hons) Animation students was awarded the Audience Prize at Eat Our Shorts 2025.

Eat Our Shorts, organised by NAHEMI, is an annual showcase of short films being produced in film schools and universities across the UK. Selected shorts were shown across three screenings where members of the audience were invited to vote for their favourite.

‘See You Later Space Invader' was created by students Ally Babbini-Baker, George Mead, Jenna Haldane and Katie Holland when they were in their second year of study. Their stop motion animation about UFO hunters was chosen by the audience as the best film at the screening.

"We're so grateful for this award. It was a very surreal experience to see people sat around us reacting to it on the big screen. It really means the world to us all that our film is connecting with and entertaining people."

‘See You Later Space Invader' was screened alongside two other BA (Hons) Animation shorts: 'Swim Free' by Michael Dimsey, Siera Deshishku, Bonnie Wright, Sam Amayuelas-Tann and Evelyn Cheung and '1 Room' by Siera Deshishku.
