You are invited to Leeds Arts University Library’s new public event series, where artists are invited to speak about the books they make and the books they read.
In conversation with Aoife Larkin, Collections Librarian, guest artists share the ways in which books and reading play a role in their creativity. This intimate event, held inside the university library, will also offer the opportunity to interact with the artists and to view examples of their work, along with a few selected items from Leeds Arts University's Special Collection. Attendees take home a Creative Reading List of book recommendations compiled specially by guest speakers for the event.
object | multiple is an artist-led platform and store, established by artists Robin Tarbet and Duncan Wooldridge in 2022, whose activity overlaps with the world of artists’ books and art publishing. o | m focuses on the presentation, distribution and understanding of the artists’ multiple. Multiples question the categories, values, and systems of display through which art is usually encountered and have much to say about how we live today.
