A Tale of Two Cities

Come along to the premiere of ‘A Tale of Two Cities’, the never seen before moving short film, with a chance to witness a panel with the creators of the film, audience Q&A, drinks and nibbles.

‘A Tale of Two Cities’ is a short film, based on the collaborative community project between Leeds Arts University and a female Syrian refugee group from the organisation ‘Damasq’. The Syrian creatives wrote and narrated the film drawing on their personal experiences fleeing their homeland, Syria. Leeds Arts University student ambassadors worked alongside them to interpret their artistic vision and turn it into a visual film to be shared with the wider community. The short film explores issues concerning belonging, war, the home, and the refugee experience. It is a moving tale told from the perspective of three young women about the true meaning of the word home.
