Exhibited across Blenheim Walk's Rotunda and B Gallery Amelia Crouch's exhibition 'Interminable' includes moving-image, text and sound artworks. Created using appropriated customer services language and performed gesture, the works represent the experience of being a frustrated customer or put-upon service worker.

In the Rotunda the moving-image work 'Please Provide Your Feedback' pairs words culled from customer services e-mails with movement by three uniformed protagonists; their actions shifting between apparent compliance and dissimulation from their role. In B Gallery the same protagonists appear again in multiple scenarios: prone on the floor, struggling to shed some restriction or stepping endlessly backwards. Their gestures and the relentless structure of these short, looping artworks seek to expresses how it feels when interpersonal interactions are structured by market logic.

Amelia Crouch is an artist who works with text, moving image and performance. She is currently undertaking practice-based PhD at UAL where her research uses appropriated language and devised gestural movement to represent ambivalent feelings about being a 'neoliberal subject'; considering how contemporary society – from the workplace to politics – compels us to act as consumers or entrepreneurs rather than citizens.

Amelia holds an MA Fine Art from Manchester Metropolitan University and a BA Fine Art from Leeds University and teaches Fine Art at Leeds Arts University. Her work has been exhibited by organisations including The Tetley, Leeds; Castlefield Gallery, Manchester; Pavilion, Leeds and Coventry Artspace.
