William Card is a Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Fine Art programme. William makes site-responsive installation artworks that bring the location and presence of the artwork into question, comprising digitally animated CGI/video composites, often alongside 3D printed sculptures. They find uncanny possibilities in relation to overlooked locations, architectural details, and adaptations to the built environment. He uses video, 3D modelling, CAD, animation, 3D printing, audio, and visual effects technologies, as well as drawing by hand on paper.
He studied Painting at Wimbledon School of Art (1994-97) and an MRes (Master’s degree by Research) at Manchester Metropolitan University (2014-17).
