I’m Susanna Moore and I’m the Fashion and Textiles Pathway Leader on the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Leeds Arts University. Alongside my creative practice, I have over 15 years’ experience as a Fashion and Textiles lecturer, teacher, mentor and moderator. I hold a BA (Hons) in Fashion Promotion and Imaging from UCA, PG Cert (with QTS) in Design Technology from Leeds Trinity University and an MA in Art and Design from Leeds Beckett University.
My teaching practice is focussed on ensuring students from all backgrounds go on a positive and transformative creative journey whilst studying on the Foundation Diploma, enabling them to feel confident to interrogate what fashion and textiles means and looks like to them.
Within my own work, under the name ‘linecrosscurve’, I explore colour, shape, pattern and surface through drawing, print, stitch and fabric manipulation; visually interpreting and communicating narrative and meaning within aspects of my everyday life. My current research project investigates the intricate balance and connection between motherhood and a meaningful creative practice.
