Lucie Armstrong is a Senior Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Fashion Photography course. Lucie is a photographer working with both still and moving image across personal, editorial and client-based projects. She has been exhibited at international photography festivals and featured by publications including Dazed, Novembre and King Kong. Lucie’s photographic practice sits between fashion and fine art and explores life experience and the everyday through the creation of performances for the camera, utilising autoethnographic research methods and collaborative working. Lucie’s research also incorporates the printed page, self-publishing and the presentation of the photographic image. She has given talks at galleries including Open Eye Gallery and Hepworth Gallery as well as at a number of university institutions.
Having taught across a number of photography and fashion related degree programmes since 2013, Lucie holds a First Class Honours degree and a Masters in Photography and is a Fellow of the HEA.
