Cameron Conner is a lecturer, researcher, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Hull. As a previous lecturer at the University of Huddersfield, Cameron’s teaching is grounded in popular music production practice - particularly collaborative creativity and implementing real-world experience into learning.

Cameron’s is also an active researcher, currently undertaking a PhD focused around an interdisciplinary, autoethnographic approach to understanding collaborative music creation. At the 2026 Society for Music Production Research conference in Huddersfield, Cameron is presenting early findings from his research with a focus on collaboration in music production.

Over the past 4 years, Cameron has been the producer and guitarist of independent indie-pop-rock band, LONG ISLAND. The band have become festival staples in the UK and internationally, with performances at Isle Of Wight, The Great Escape, Live At Leeds, Truck, Y Not, and a headline slot at Tramlines. With over 500,000 streams, support from Radio X and BBC Radio 1, and sold-out Leeds headline shows, the band are heading into their biggest year in 2027.
