Extended Diploma in Creative Practice - Fashion and Textiles Pathway Leader

Amanda is one of the Pathway Leaders for the Fashion and Textiles Pathway of the Extended Diploma in Creative Practice at Leeds Arts University. Amanda shares responsibility for overseeing and coordinating the delivery of Fashion and Textiles, with a specialism in mixed media textile practice.

Amanda is an experienced educator, she holds a PGCE and has gained well over 20 years’ experience working across a number of courses within the creative arts. Amanda has a Masters in Education and has worked for several years running training courses for art educators, with a focus on the gender gap and raising boys' achievement within the art and design national curriculum.

In Amanda’s personal work she enjoys printmaking, image transfer and surface manipulation. Working to preserve and define memories, memorabilia and found objects, within a textile form.
