EMPLOYERS: ENGAGE WITH US

If you have an opportunity for our students or graduates, there are many ways to get involved.

All opportunities advertised on our Employability Portal must comply with our policy, Advertising Opportunities with Leeds Arts University.

Check out some of our employer opportunities below...

Recruit our students and graduates

We can help you connect with students and graduates with a broad range of creative and transferable skills. We work with you to understand your organisation’s needs and available resources, managing advertising and promotion and supporting shortlisting and interviews where required.

Offer a work placement or work experience

If you'd like to offer a paid year-long work placement, part-time or summer work experience, we can manage advertising and promotion, shortlisting and interview scheduling, as well as supporting the development of project briefs and job descriptions. We can also provide advice about work placements and work experience more generally. All of our undergraduate courses offer the opportunity for students to undertaken a self-sourced work placement between the second and third year of the course.

Set a live brief, commission or competition

Working with Leeds Arts University can benefit both your organisation and the wider creative sector:

  • Help us understand the skills and qualities employers value so we can continue to shape our curriculum

  • Gain fresh perspectives and creative solutions from staff and students

  • Share your expertise, experience and insights with emerging creative talent

  • Strengthen your own professional network and support the future of the sector

Volunteering opportunities

Our students enjoy making a positive impact in the community, with many volunteering or contributing to projects for local organisations. If you’re a UK based charity, we can help you promote volunteering opportunities to our students.

Employer forums

Twice a year, we host employer forums with local, national and international organisations through virtual and on-campus events. These provide opportunities to raise awareness of your organisation, build connections and contribute to the ongoing development of our curriculum.

If you're interested in any of the above, contact us.

Please email us with brief details and a member of the Employability team will get in touch with you.
