UCAS

If you are interested in an undergraduate degree course you need to apply through UCAS. You can simultaneously apply for up to five courses. Our UCAS code is L28.

Please be aware that the university does not accept deferred applications for any of our undergraduate courses.

The closing date for applications is 6pm on 25 January 2023. Applications submitted to UCAS after this date will be forwarded to our University until 30 June but it is at the University’s discretion as to whether we will consider these late applications. Please note that we do not process any applications received after 25 January 2023 until due consideration has been given to all on time applications. This could mean that your application is held until the end of May before it is considered.

For further information and guidance about the UCAS online application process, visit www.ucas.com or telephone 03714 680 468 or +443303 330 230 if you are outside the UK.

What happens when you apply

Once we receive your application form through UCAS, we will check that you meet or have the potential to meet our entry requirements.

If you meet or have the potential to meet our entry requirements you will be invited to set up your portal and submit a maximum of six examples of work (they must not exceed a total file size of 30MB). You will have seven days to submit your examples of work. Click here for our application image guidance.

It is highly important that you regularly check your portal and email inbox for updates as your application may not be progressed if we do not receive your examples of work by the given deadline.

Online audition

For our BMus (Hons) Popular Music Performance course you will be asked to upload a video of a practical set piece performance to a suitable video sharing platform (YouTube, Vimeo or Weibo) for remote review. You should choose one of the set pieces from the list held on the course page, as appropriate to your instrument/voice. Click here for our Online Audition Guidance.

Entry into other years

We will consider applications for Level 5/year 2 and Level 6/year 3 entry, however please be aware that places are limited and will be dependent on availability.

Clearing/UCAS Extra

If our courses are open to UCAS Extra or Clearing they will be listed on UCAS course search.

*We strongly advise that you regularly check the UCAS website for any changes or updates to deadlines.
