Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England. We have contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 180 years, and have developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff.Â
We are dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where students can thrive both academically and personally. Our Student Advice & Wellbeing department plays a crucial role in this mission, offering a wide range of support services to help students navigate their university experience successfully.
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our small, busy Student Advice and Wellbeing team as a Student Advice & Wellbeing Adviser. The post holder will provide information, advice and guidance to students on a wide range of personal, financial and wellbeing matters through a variety of communication channels. Responsibilities include delivering pastoral support, undertaking initial triage, identifying concerns that require referral or escalation to specialist services, and maintaining accurate and timely case records.
Working closely with students, the successful candidate will help them navigate challenges that may impact their studies and overall university experience. This role plays a key part in promoting student wellbeing, supporting student success, and ensuring students can access the appropriate resources and support to achieve their full potential.
Full details of the essential and desirable criteria that applicants will need to demonstrate in their application for this role can be found in the job description.
Interviews will be held in person on Thursday 3 December 2026.
Leeds Arts University is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all learners and expect our staff to share this commitment. All appointments will be made on merit, and as an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. In recognition of our commitment to create a diverse team that draws from our widest talent pool, we would particularly encourage applications from groups who are currently under-represented at this level, which in this case is our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic applicants.
