Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England. We have contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 170 years, and have developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff.
The BA (Hons) Acting for Screen course encompasses a range of contemporary performance disciplines, from drama for feature film and presenting for television, through to promotion and influencing on the web and through social media.
As a Senior Lecturer, you will help plan, design, deliver and organise the BA (Hons) Acting for Screen degree to deliver high-quality practical and theoretical teaching in a studio-based environment. You will contribute to the academic management and pastoral care across the course, supporting the Course Leader. You will be teaching on Acting for Screen modules across all levels, including module leadership as directed, whilst contributing broadly to other elements within the course.
The successful candidate will need to be educated to a minimum of Masters level in a relevant subject area or be willing to obtain a Master’s within 2 years. They will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge of the theory and practice of acting for screen and also have significant experience and expertise in preparing students for a range of relevant careers.
