University benefits

Holiday Entitlement

Academic staff get 35 days' holiday per year (pro rata), plus 8 days' statutory holiday.

Business Support and Resource staff get 25 or 26 days' holiday per year (pro rata), plus 8 days' statutory holiday. Extra holidays are given for long service for Business Support and Resource Staff.

Pension Schemes

Academic and Resource staff have access to the Teachers' Pension Scheme (The University contributes 16.4%, and you contribute 7.4% or higher dependent on your salary).

Business support staff have access to The West Yorkshire Pension Fund (The University contributes 14.7%, and your contribution is dependent on your salary).

TOTUM Discount Card (Formally NUS Discount Card)

All Leeds Arts University employees can access a great range of discounts by purchasing a TOTUM Card for either a one, two or three year period.

Staff training and development

We offer an in-house staff development programme plus support for external training.

Car parking

Subsidised car-parking near our Blenheim Walk site on Cambridge Road.

West Yorkshire Metro Card scheme

You’ll be entitled to a discount on bus and train travel in the Leeds/West Yorkshire region, on purchasing an annual Metro card.

Care First

You’ll be entitled to access a 24-hour, confidential and independent telephone service, offering advice on a wide range of consumer, family care, employment, financial, housing, legal, health and education matters.

Flexible working

For business support staff up to Grade 4, flexible working hours are available by arrangement, for all other staff the University's Time off in Lieu Policy is available.
