Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England. We have contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 180 years, and have developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff.Â
We are looking to recruit a part time receptionist to join our front of house reception service. The successful applicant will have previous experience of working in a front of house team and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and organisation skills with the ability to meet and exceed customer expectations.
You will be part of a small team of reception staff who are the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors to the University. The team is responsible for dealing with enquiries, deliveries and post to the University, and handling calls on the University switchboard. You will provide information, guidance, advice and direction to University staff, students and visitors, including public events such as Private Views in our Gallery and for End of Year shows. This role is based at both our Blenheim Walk and Vernon Street sites, rotating on a weekly basis.
A full list of the essential criteria that the successful candidate will need to demonstrate can be found in the job description.
This role may involve working at our Further Education site and as such the successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
*Please note that we are currently operating under reduced hours, and the site closing time has temporarily changed from 9:00pm to 8:00pm. However, we reserve the right to revert this post's working hours to 4:30pm to 10:00pm should the reduced operating hours not become permanent.
This role may involve working at our Further Education site and as such the successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
Interviews will be held in person on Friday 9 October 2026
