Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England. We have contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 180 years and have developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff.
We are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead and develop procurement activity across the University. Reporting to the Head of Financial Operations, you will help colleagues make sound purchasing decisions, secure value for money and manage supplier relationships effectively.
You will lead procurement projects from initial planning through to tender, contract award and implementation. The role includes managing framework call-offs and formal tender processes, supporting contract negotiations and renewals and maintaining accurate procurement and contract records. You will also develop practical guidance and training to build procurement knowledge across the University.
You will have substantial experience of delivering tenders and managing contracts, together with extensive knowledge of public sector procurement requirements. You will be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, manage competing deadlines and communicate clear advice on complex procurement matters. You will have achieved, or be working towards, MCIPS or an equivalent qualification. A full list of the essential criteria that the successful candidate will need to demonstrate can be found in the job description.
This role may involve working at our Further Education site and as such the successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
Interviews will be held in person on Thursday 16th November 2026.
Leeds Arts University is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all learners and expect our staff to share this commitment. All appointments will be made on merit, and as an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. In recognition of our commitment to create a diverse team that draws from our widest talent pool, we would particularly encourage applications from groups who are currently under-represented at this level, which in this case is our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic applicants.
