Skin's Chancellor Scholarship

A cash scholarship of £3,000 per year for three years will be awarded to two home students and one international student.

The scholarships aim to support the general living and maintenance costs of students during their time at university to enable them to progress successfully. The scholarship covers, for example, equipment, materials, travel, food and rent which a loan or family support may not cover.

International students are only able to apply for one of the available scholarships.

The successful students will receive £3,000 per year for three years in three increments paid in November, February, and May, which are dependent on attendance and satisfactory academic progress.

You must have applied to one of our undergraduate courses and have accepted an offer to study with us. For home students, you must also have made your application to Student Finance England before you can apply for the scholarship.

The successful applicants are expected to act as ambassadors for the University and may be asked to contribute to promotional activities and campaigns.

Scholarship criteria for home students

Home students who apply should be eligible for their student loan entitlement for fees and for a full or partial maintenance loan.

One or all of the below factors will also be considered:

  • Students from areas of low higher education participation and/or high deprivation

  • Students who are the first in their immediate family to attend university

BA students are also required to submit three examples of their work along with the application form. They must not exceed a combined file size of 20MB. BMus students can provide files or a link to a video or audio performance.

Scholarship criteria for international students

Students are to complete an application form outlining how the scholarship will benefit their studies and the International team will recommend based on aptitude and talent.

International students must demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to meet Visa requirements.
