THIS COURSE IS NOW FULLY BOOKED - WAITING LIST AVAILABLE.
Join the Saturday Art School for ages 12-18 to experience a real mix of techniques such as drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, sculpture and animation. You will use the University's outstanding facilities and will be taught by our experienced tutors.
You will get the chance to try a broad range of techniques and materials such as pencils, charcoals, ink, paint, wire, clay and Photoshop to name but a few. This is a great opportunity to a explore different art and design activity each week. You will be able to develop your skills using the University's professional facilities including printing presses and computer suites for example.
Each week will offer a thorough 'hands on' experience of different art and design disciplines. You will also get the chance to look at the work of contemporary artists as well as artists from the past, to really understand what it means to be a professional artist or designer. You will gain lots of confidence, learn about particular areas of art and design you are really interested in (or areas you did not know about previously) and be able to go back to school or college with a wide range of skills that are applicable to many subjects.
