Erasmus+ provides a grant to support higher education students undertaking a work experience placement (or traineeship/internship, whatever you prefer to call it!) in a choice of 32 countries across Europe. You get to travel, improve your language skills, gain work experience, and you may get paid too!
To receive a grant, placements must be 2-12 months in duration. Placements can take place over the summer vacation or for up to a year after graduation.
The restrictions on who you work for and where you work are fairly flexible – you can choose to work in most sectors, in private or public companies, schools, trade unions or non-profit organisations.
Erasmus+ will provide funding as a contribution to your costs – but you have to find and apply for the work placements yourself. The Erasmus+ grants are €380-€430 a month, depending on the country, which should help cover accommodation and some living expenses.
No deadline - you can apply throughout the academic year.
