To be eligible to attend the ceremony you need to have successfully completed your BA (Hons) degree in June 2019.

If you don’t pass your degree in June you will be able to get a full refund from Ede & Ravenscroft. If you have extenuating circumstances which means you can’t submit work for the June exam board you will be invited to the November ceremony or be able to claim a refund. Please note these refunds need to be claimed at least seven days prior to the graduation ceremony.

Dress code

To participate in the ceremony you must wear the Leeds Arts University gown as supplied by Ede & Ravenscroft, the gown is black with a deep red patterned hood. You can find pictures of the gown on the website.

Graduation is a formal occasion so we ask that you dress smartly. You will find it useful to wear a buttoned shirt or blouse to which the academic hood can be fastened. You will probably find that hair grips are useful to secure your mortar. We recommend wearing ‘sensible shoes’, as you will be asked to collect your degree from the stage which is accessed by a number of steps.

Car parking

The Royal Armouries is located on Leeds Dock on the south side of the city centre. The closest available car park is CitiPark, Leeds Dock, LS10 1LE. You are able to book your space in this multi-storey in advance through their website. Due to the proximity of alternative car parks to the Royal Armouries we definitely recommend that you book your parking in advance to avoid disappointment on the day.
