Each graduate is offered their ticket and two guest tickets free of charge.

In addition you can also buy up to three extra guest tickets priced at £10 each. These tickets are limited and are likely to sell out. We suggest you buy these tickets without delay. If you still require more guest tickets than the allocation listed above please email

Tickets will not be sent in the post but will be available for collection at the Town Hall on graduation day.

To be eligible to attend the ceremony you need to have successfully completed your BA (Hons) degree in June 2018.

We understand that we are asking you to book your attendance at the ceremony before you know if you have successfully completed your degree. If you don't pass your degree in June you will be able to get a full refund from Ede & Ravenscroft. If you have extenuating circumstances which means you can't submit work for the June exam board you will be invited to the November ceremony or be able to claim a refund. Please note these refunds needs to be claimed at least seven days prior days before the graduation ceremony.

Dress code

To participate in the ceremony you must wear the Leeds Arts University gown as supplied by Ede & Ravenscroft. Graduation is a formal occasion so we ask that you dress smartly. You will find it useful to wear a buttoned shirt or blouse to which the academic hood can be fastened. You will probably find that hairgrips are useful to secure your mortar. We recommend wearing 'sensible shoes', as you will be asked to collect your degree from the stage which is accessed by a number of steps.

Disabled access

The main entrance to Leeds Town Hall is accessed via a flight of broad stone stairs. Disabled access is situated at street level to the right hand side of the main entrance, please take the lift to the first floor where you will be able to register and collect your tickets.

The disabled viewing area is at the front left of the hall, for ease we recommend asking one of the ushers to guide you to this area. To ensure we have enough space available for wheel chair users please let us know if anyone in your party would like to use the disabled viewing area.

There is very limited disabled parking at Leeds Town Hall so we recommend using the collection and drop off area outside the Town Hall if anyone in your party has limited mobility.
