Looking for an activity this Summer Term?
We are inviting primary and secondary school pupils from across the region to design a postcard to promote our Young Creatives courses.
Friends and parents will be able to vote for postcard designs with a winner selected by current staff and alumni of the College. Prizes are listed below.
Individuals aged 18 or under may apply independently of their school. Those aged between 12-18 years may enter the 12-18 years competition. Children aged 11 or under may enter the 7-11 competition. Ages refer to age at the deadline.
Deadline: Friday 22nd May 2015 at 09:00hrs.
Why enter?
- It’s fun to make and create
- Chance to see your ideas made into a postcard seen by thousands
- Choose your method of making: hand-drawing, digital drawing, collage, print, mark-making, illustration, photography – anything that can be 2D!
- Brilliant prizes!
Shortlisted Prizes (x3 for 7-11 years and x3 for 12-18 years):
- Six students will receive a half day art workshop (during June) at their school for their class (inc. materials)
- Goodie bag of art materials for each shortlisted student
Main Prize (x1 for 7-11 years and x1 for 12-18 years):
- Half day workshop during July at Leeds College of Art for winners class
- Winners’ +2 friends (& teacher / parent) visit LCA to work with a designer to produce the postcard
- Each winner receives a print of the postcard showing their winning design
- Goodie bag for each winner
