Students invited to exhibit in Brussels

Selected students from Leeds Arts University’s BA (Hons) Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design are exhibiting their work at MoOD in Brussels this September.

MoOD (Meet only Original Designs) showcases textiles designs from around the world, and attracts industry professionals and commercial representatives from a diverse range of companies active in design, interior decoration and product development. Each year students from a select number of universities are invited to exhibit; this is the fourth year running Leeds Arts University has been included.

Tami Stewart, Course Leader, Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design, said:

“We are very excited to be returning to MoOD for the fourth year running. It is a fantastic opportunity for our students to showcase their work, network with an international audience and create links with industry professionals”

The BA (Hons) Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design course prides itself on creating an environment that allows students to develop as individual designers with a global outlook. Students are regularly given the opportunity to exhibit the work internationally including at: Premier Vision, Paris; Surtex, New York; and Heimtextil in Frankfurt.

Final year students Lucy Siviter and Rebecca Smickersgill will be exhibiting on stand CE19 at MoOD in Brussels from 11 – 13 September.
