Recent graduates from BA (Hons) Animation, BA (Hons) Creative Advertising, BA (Hons) Graphic Design and BA (Hons) Illustration will take their work to London to take part in the D&AD New Blood festival from 11 – 13 July 2019.
The New Blood festival brings together emerging talent and industry professionals, with students from university courses around the UK exhibiting their work. This year Leeds Arts University students from Animation, Creative Advertising, Graphic Design and Illustration will have the opportunity to showcase their talent, network with industry and receive expert advice from those in the know.
The D&AD New Blood Awards will also be presented during the festival. These awards provide a platform for students and other new creatives to test their limits on real briefs, set by real clients with brand representatives and industry experts deciding which work will receive a coveted D&AD Pencil. Students and graduates from Leeds Arts University have been awarded four pencils for their creative responses to the briefs set this year.
Three second year Animation students students Ibtisam Rahman, Eleni Kramvi and Damian Jenorowski, were awarded a New Blood Pencil for their animation ‘The Perfect Present’ in response to a brief set by John Lewis & Partners.
