Student work on show in Paris

12 February 2019

Leeds Arts University’s BA (Hons) Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design students will be showcasing and selling their design work at Premiere Vision trade fair in Paris, 12 – 14 February 2019.

Premiere Vision is a prestigious international trade fair for fashion textiles. The fair showcases textiles designs and materials of high quality from selected international companies, and attracts leading industry professionals and commercial representatives from a diverse range of companies.

BA (Hons) Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern students on their second and third year of the degree have been developing collections for the fair and will be showcasing and selling their design work in the ‘Designs’ area of the show on stand 5W40 (Hall 5).

The ‘Designs’ area offers a unique opportunity for students to engage with the market as young professionals; students often see their work featured by the press, sell their designs on the show, and secure placement and employment opportunities.

Tami Stewart, Course Leader, Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design, commented:

“This is an exciting professional event for our students that we are fortunate to take part in. Students have been developing their creative collections with considered research of market and trend. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to network and create links for placement and future employment with industry professionals.”

Premier Vision is held at Parc d’Expositions, Paris from 12 - 14 February. Find out more here.
